Vernon Publications was born out of Bill Ray Vernon's passion for publishing highly informative guides that become invaluable assets to the readers. He started out in 1959 with the publication of Alaska Construction News. Three generations of the Vernon family have embraced his passion and helped develop the company's expertise in publishing, graphics and production in order to produce quality and cost effective publications.

In the 1960's, Vernon Publications, through the guidance of Geoff and Judy Vernon, acquired a wide variety of titles and began publishing directories and guides for professional organizations. These publications included The MilePost, RV West, Pacific Builder and Engineer, Nurse Practitioner, The AIA Seattle Practice ProFile, The Greater Seattle InfoGuide, Pacific Banker, and a host of Chamber directories, magazines and books. When Trevor Vernon joined his father, they focused on growing their graphics and production departments in order to guarantee the production of quality and cost effective publications.
