Your Guide to the Pacific Northwest

Vernon Publications was born out of Bill Vernon's passion for publishing highly informative guides that become invaluable assets to the readers. He started out in 1959 with the publication of Alaska Construction News. Three generations of the Vernon family have embraced his passion and helped develop the company's expertise in publishing, graphics and production in order to produce quality and cost effective publications.

In the 1960's, Vernon Publications, through the guidance of Geoff and Judy Vernon, acquired a wide variety of titles and began publishing directories and guides for professional organizations. These publications included The MilePost, RV West, Pacific Builder and Engineer, Nurse Practitioner, The AIA Seattle Practice ProFile, The Greater Seattle InfoGuide, Pacific Banker, and a host of Chamber directories, magazines and books. When the company was purchased by Gene Walters and Trevor Vernon, they focused on growing existing products while expanding their online presence. The commitment to producing high quality, user-friendly directories and guides has allowed the Vernon Publications team to specialize in:

  • Telephone Directories. Directories published for specific geographical areas featuring cross-reference directories, maps, and other geographically specific information.

  • Greater Seattle InfoGuide. A full color, glossy relocation guide for the Puget Sound area with detailed information about cities and neighborhoods that fully describes the Puget Sound "experience."

  • Northwest Boat Travel Book. The most comprehensive guide for recreational boaters who cruise between Olympia, Washington and Glacier Bay in Alaska.

  • Custom Publishing. Vernon Publications can customize any project to meet the needs of the client.

Vernon Publications has spent the past 50 years fostering relationships to ensure we publish the most comprehensive and accurate information for our advertisers and consumers. In order to consistently deliver quality products, we immerse ourselves in the Puget Sound community through membership in the chamber of commerce of each city we serve, Realtor associations and a host of other philanthropic organizations.
